Audience
The Certified Tester AI Testing certification is aimed at anyone involved in testing AI-based systems and/or AI for testing. This includes people in roles such as testers, test analysts, data analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers, and software developers. This certification is also appropriate for anyone who wants a basic understanding of testing AI-based systems and/or AI for testing, such as project managers, quality managers, software development managers, business analysts, operations team members, IT directors, and management consultants.
The ISTQB® Certified Tester AI Testing (CT-AI) v2.0 certification is aimed at individuals involved in testing AI-based systems, including:

The ISTQB®Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) is a prerequisite for the CT-AI v2.0 certification.
Content
The CT-AI exam will be based on the Learning Objectives described in this syllabus. All syllabus sections are examinable except for the Introduction, Hands-On Objectives, References, and Appendices. Answering exam questions may require using material based on more than one section of this syllabus. Standards and books are included as references, but their content is not examinable beyond what is summarized in the syllabus itself.

Business Outcomes
The Business Outcomes expected of a candidate who has achieved the Certified Tester AI Testing certification are as follows:
- Understand the current state of AI, including generative AI.
- Experience the implementation and testing of machine learning models.
- Understand the working and testing of simple neural networks.
- Understand the specific AI quality characteristics defined by ISO/IEC 25059.
- Calculate and interpret ML functional performance metrics for machine learning models.
- Recognize the scope and importance of the two test levels that are specific to the testing of machine learning systems.
- Contribute to the development of an effective test strategy for a machine learning system.
- Design and execute test cases for machine learning systems.
Exam Mode
To gain this certification, candidates must hold the Certified Tester Foundation Level certificate.

- The exam is comprised of 40 multiple-choice questions.
- Total score: 47 points. Exam takers will need 31 points in order to pass the Exam.
- Exam Length (mins):60 minutes. If the candidate’s native language is not the examination language, the candidate is allowed an additional 25% (exam duration = 75 minutes).
